As reported by the city authorities, already in the autumn of 2026 it will be impossible to buy a ticket directly from the driver. This means that passengers will need to purchase tickets in advance or use other methods of fare payment, reports the "Minsk-Novosti" agency.

It is assumed that this decision will help speed up passenger boarding, reduce the load on drivers, and make transport operations more efficient.
At the same time, a complete отказаться от paper tickets in the capital is not yet planned — they will remain in circulation. Only the method of their sale is changing.
An alternative infrastructure is already operating in the city: dozens of kiosks, metro ticket offices, as well as other retail outlets where you can buy a ticket or top up a travel pass. Contactless payment methods are also being expanded.
