In the city, on the eve of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a strange banner was noticed. "Happy Popedy Day!", - says the inscription on the banner, writes the local publication 86.ru.
The banner was hung on the building of the local Children's Art School. It is located in the central part of the city, not far from the square.
The head of the city, Sergei Elishaev, in a conversation with the publication "Podyom" (Rise), explained the appearance of the poster by the fact that the contractor "showed independence" and did not coordinate with the authorities all stages of creating and placing banners for May 9.
"We consider this an act of sabotage, because he has been noticed repeatedly. The auction is open, there are no other bidders, and so he became the winner — we are obliged to sign a contract, although we understand that he is not entirely competent and not very responsible," - said Elishaev.
He assured that the poster with the error hung for only about 10 minutes, after which it was replaced with another, and the contractor was forced to apologize on social media.
A year ago, a similar situation occurred in Pytyakh. Then, on one of the buildings opposite the administration, a patriotic banner with an American helicopter appeared. The contractor was blamed for the error.
