"A military parade and other mass events in honor of Victory Day are not planned in the Republic of Crimea this year. An organized procession of the "Immortal Regiment" will also not take place. This decision by the authorities is dictated by security considerations," Aksyonov noted.
Earlier, the cancellation of celebratory events and local parades was announced in Veliky Novgorod, Voronezh, Saratov Oblast, and Chuvashia. In Moscow, for the first time since 2007, the parade will be held without the participation of military equipment.
