On April 18, a republican subbotnik was held in Belarus, which, according to authorities, attracted about 2.3 million people.

According to official data, more than 18 million rubles were collected during this event. These funds are promised, as last year, to be directed towards creating a permanent exhibition for the new National Historical Museum of Belarus, which is currently under construction. In addition to the exhibition itself, the money will also go towards other related works — for example, equipping and decorating the museum space.
Last year, according to the National Statistical Committee, approximately the same amount was collected — 18 million 549.4 thousand rubles,
People were assigned to various types of work: cleaning and tidying territories, planting trees, organizing parks, courtyards, and public spaces. Formally, this work is considered voluntary, but it's no secret that attendance is primarily ensured through administrative leverage.
