Peace talks on Ukraine have reached a dead end, as has the situation on the front line. The attention of Donald Trump's administration, which wanted to end the war in Ukraine "in 24 hours," is now focused on Iran. Against this backdrop, Kyiv, which has repeatedly called for a summit between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia, asked Turkey to organize such a meeting, writes Moscow Times.
“We appealed directly to the Turkish side,” Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiga told reporters in Kyiv. “But if such a meeting is organized by any other capital – except Moscow and Belarus – we will participate in it.”
According to Sibiga, Kyiv wants to hold the meeting now “to give a new impetus to the diplomatic process between Zelenskyy and Putin.”
