Sentenced to life imprisonment in the "Crocus" case
A Moscow court sentenced the manager of the hostel, where Dalerjon Mirzoyev and Muhammadsobir Fayzov lived, to three years in prison. She was also banned from working in the hotel business for two years.
According to RIA Novosti, the woman managed an apart-hotel on the first floor of a five-story building in Moscow. She was accused of not informing the Ministry of Internal Affairs about the arrival of foreign citizens who did not have a temporary residence permit.
The attack on Crocus City Hall near Moscow took place on March 22, 2024. Armed attackers stormed the hall before a concert by the band 'Piknik', opened fire on people, and set the building on fire. As a result, 151 people died, one is still considered missing, and over 600 were injured.
The investigation established that the attack was organized by members of the terrorist group 'Vilayat Khorasan', banned in Russia, along with accomplices. Some of them underwent training abroad, while others were on the territory of Russia and were engaged in searching for weapons, modifying them, and delivering them. Part of the weaponry was first brought to Kaspiysk in Dagestan, and then to Moscow before the attack.
The verdict in the terrorist attack case was rendered on March 12, 2026. 15 people received life sentences. Among them were not only the killers but also those who assisted with money, housing, and transport. The verdict caused outrage among the victims, who consider it too lenient due to the theoretical possibility of parole in the future. Lawyers for the victims even proposed suspending the moratorium on the death penalty for such cases.
