French Teenager Taken to Court in Singapore for Licking Juice Straw
An 18-year-old French teenager could face a prison sentence in Singapore after an incident involving an orange juice vending machine, writes the BBC.

According to investigation materials, the young man took a straw from the machine, licked it, and returned it to the dispenser compartment. He filmed all of this and posted it on Instagram. Later, the video went viral online.
After the incident, the company that owns the machine reported that it was forced to replace all 500 straws in the compartment and carry out sanitation.
The young man was accused of intentional damage to property and creating public nuisance. If found guilty on both counts, he faces more than two years in prison and large fines.
The incident occurred on March 12 in one of Singapore's shopping centers. On the video, the young man added a caption stating that the city was supposedly "dangerous."
Many internet users reacted to the situation with outrage and disgust after the recording went viral.
It is known that the accused is studying at the Singapore branch of the ESSEC business school. The educational institution reported that it is also conducting an internal investigation.
