A Zoomer from Grodno asked to be invited to a wedding — Belarusians responded
In Threads, a user appealed to residents of Grodno and Belarus — asking to be invited to a wedding, noted the Hrodna.life publication. The girl considers herself a part of the zoomer generation, so her friends don't plan any marriages "in the next five years." But the Grodno resident really wants to attend a wedding.

«I'll make you a small gift, and give you a basket of flowers/bouquet (I'm a florist) and photograph everyone with a Canon G7X Mark III, just invite me,» the Grodno resident asked.
More than 10 users were found in the comments, ready to invite the post's author to a wedding. They also suggested a radical option — to come "dressed up" to the Registry Office on Saturday, and by the time they figure out whose guest she is, it'll already be midnight.
Others supported the trend and also asked to be taken to a celebration. One of the beauty salons also noted itself in the comments — inviting the girl for "manicure, pedicure, eyebrow correction, or makeup." "And generally, even without a wedding, still come," the authors added. And under the noise, house owners offered their place for rent for the second wedding day.
Users agreed to track the results of the wedding search. In turn, the author promised to later tell if she managed to attend a wedding.
«We'll come with gifts»
«By the way, no jokes, in France there's a thing where strangers come to a wedding and 'give' gifts, they enjoy the wedding atmosphere, and the couple gets to cover the wedding costs,» writes one user.
«Oh, and I really want to show a wedding to my 2 children (14 and 23). They've never been. We live in Germany. We'll come in mid-July. Maybe someone will invite us? We'll come with gifts, of course,» promises another user.
«What's the point of inviting strangers to a family celebration and feeding them at the expense of the newlyweds? Moreover, you'll also be bothering the photographer. Maybe it's better for you to get married yourself and experience it all firsthand,» comments a discussion participant.
«Zoomers now, specifically, have more chances to attend a peer's wedding than millennials do. Millennials have either all gotten married, or chosen to live solo, or if they do get married, it's quietly, without fanfare or celebration. And yes, I am a millennial who hasn't been to a wedding in over 10 years and is unlikely to attend one now. But I really want to,» a user recounts.
By the way, in the Grodno region in 2025, compared to the previous year, there were more officially registered marriages. According to fresh statistics service data, 5231 marriages were registered in the region in 2025. This is more than a year earlier, when 4864 couples legalized their relationships — a growth of about 7.5%.
The average age for entering marriage in the Grodno region remains stable: men usually marry for the first time at 28-29 years old, and women — almost at 26.
It is believed that zoomers were born between 1997 and 2012. It turns out that currently, among female residents of Grodno and the region, the age of entering first marriage falls within the zoomer generation. For men — touching the boundary between zoomers and millennials.
