The new complex is being created as part of a program to strengthen the country's food security and reduce dependence on imported vegetables. It is planned to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, greens, and other products here all year round.
A large infrastructure is provided for the complex's operation: the total glazing area will exceed 99 thousand square meters, about 280 kilometers of pipes will be laid for the heating system, and the length of cables for additional lighting will reach 140 kilometers. Electricity supply will be supported by nine transformer substations.
The first stage of construction is expected to be completed in the near future. Simultaneously, preparation for the second stage begins – another greenhouse complex with an area of over 7 hectares.

After the full launch of both facilities in Tabary, they expect to produce up to 3.5 thousand tons of vegetables per year. The first harvest of tomatoes is planned for autumn.
Recently, the authorities have been actively investing in such projects and have even introduced preferential electricity tariffs for greenhouses.
