Phone scammers scared a 16-year-old schoolboy with drones to make him hand over his parents' money
On a thematic website, the teenager met a girl and arranged a personal meeting. As soon as the boy arrived at the agreed place, he sent his new acquaintance his geolocation.
After this, he received a video call from a fake law enforcement officer who threatened that military drones would fly to his coordinates, the teenager himself would be accused of aiding terrorism, and his parents would be imprisoned, reports "Minsk Police".
To save his family, the minor agreed to declare his parents' money. Fake tax inspectors contacted him and, through video calls, monitored his search for savings in the apartment for two weeks.
