The Pentagon has published the first part of declassified UFO documents, which were made public by an order of US President Donald Trump.

For this purpose, a separate section was created on the website of the American military department, where dozens of pages of documents have already appeared, along with photos and videos related to so-called "unidentified anomalous phenomena" — the modern term for cases previously called UFOs.
The first batch of published UFO materials contains a total of 162 files. It includes archival telegrams from the US State Department, FBI documents, and NASA transcripts related to space missions and astronaut flights.
The published materials cover the period from 1947 — the time of the famous Roswell incident in New Mexico — up to the present day. The latest reports concern events from the second half of 2025.

One document describes the interrogation of a drone pilot who claimed to have seen a long object in the sky in 2023 with very bright light and stripes inside this glow.
The Pentagon stated that the declassification is being carried out "in the interest of full transparency." According to the department, this is a large-scale undertaking involving dozens of government agencies, including NASA, the FBI, intelligence, and the US Department of Energy.
New materials are promised to be published gradually — approximately once every few weeks.
Donald Trump called the public release of the documents one of the successes of his administration. According to him, previous authorities failed to ensure openness on this topic.
The topic of UFOs in the US became popular again after recent statements by former President Barack Obama, who admitted the possibility of extraterrestrial life, although he noted that he had seen no evidence of contact with aliens.
However, US authorities emphasize that while hundreds of cases of unidentified phenomena have been recorded, no evidence of extraterrestrial technologies or contacts with extraterrestrial civilizations has yet been discovered.
