Graduation parties for Minsk eleventh-graders will be held in a new format. This year there will be several venues

In 2026, academic classes for Minsk students will end on May 29. However, this does not apply to children from 9th and 11th grades — graduates' lessons will end a little earlier, on May 25. Traditional festive events dedicated to the last bell will take place for them the day before, on May 23.

— First, solemn assemblies with the participation of invited guests will be held. They will start in all educational institutions at 10:00 AM. Then ninth-graders will go on educational excursions. Thematic discos and entertainment events will also be organized for them, — said Lyudmila Liakhnovich, First Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

A rich program is also planned for eleventh-graders. Young men and women will lay flowers at memorials, honoring the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. And at 5:00 PM, they will gather at "Minsk Arena," where an city-wide "Last Bell" celebration will be organized for them.

Graduation Parties

They will take place in schools and gymnasiums on June 12. For Minsk graduates, this festive evening will be special. The new format was tested back in 2025: a single graduation event was organized for all students of Zavodsky district at "Chizhovka Arena." This year, the successful experience will be extended to other districts.

— The solemn part, with the presentation of certificates, will take place within the walls of their native schools and gymnasiums. The recommended start time is 7:00 PM—8:00 PM. Following this, young men and women will perform creative numbers, the traditional farewell waltz, and thank their teachers for being by their side throughout their 11 years of growing up, — clarified the representative of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Then, from 12:00 AM, the graduation parties will continue at major socio-cultural venues of the capital, where a dance and entertainment program will be organized for the children.

This is a gift from the city to young people. Over 2,700 students from Zavodsky and Leninsky districts will gather at "Chizhovka Arena," 4,500 graduates from Sovetsky, Tsentralny, and Moskovsky districts will attend the "Football Manege" sports complex, and 1,900 people from Pervomaysky and Partizansky districts will go to the Sports Palace. A little over 900 children from Oktyabrsky district will be hosted by the Sports and Cultural Center of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts.

Over 3.5 thousand young men and women from Frunzensky district will celebrate the holiday in their educational institutions.

"The scenarios of the concert programs for the unified graduation parties will reflect the themes of the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Creative performances and musical compositions will convey love for the country, foster a sense of patriotism and pride for Belarus in the young generation. In addition, a disco with modern hits will be organized for the children, and Belarusian performers and youth bloggers will be invited to the celebration. The graduation parties are planned to conclude at dawn," the interlocutor reported.

As Lyudmila Liakhnovich noted, the format of the unified graduation parties was not chosen by chance.

— Last year, the unified celebration was bright, large-scale, and memorable. It is worth noting that centralized transportation for children to the venue of the unified graduation parties is being organized. Most importantly, the safety of the children will be ensured, — emphasized the representative of the Education Committee of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

In total, more than 20,400 ninth-graders and 13,400 eleventh-graders will graduate from the city's schools and gymnasiums in 2026.
