The Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee warned about the illegality of acquiring Russian "Bulldog" revolvers that have appeared for sale on marketplaces. Despite the fact that sellers may position it only as a toy, in Belarus, the acquisition, import, and storage of such weapons are prohibited.
The Russian-made "Bulldog" revolver outwardly resembles a combat weapon, fires 10 mm rubber balls, and uses construction cartridges as an energy source.
Expert examination recognized it as a traumatic firearm. According to Belarusian legislation, the circulation of such weapons in the country is prohibited.
The police emphasized that the free sale of goods on a marketplace does not exempt the buyer from responsibility.
Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment, or carrying of such weapons can lead to criminal liability, including imprisonment for up to seven years.
Those who have already acquired such a revolver are offered to voluntarily surrender it to the police. In this case, the person may be exempted from criminal liability.
