Director of Dobrush Factory Sentenced to 9 Years for Bribery Released After Two Years
The director of the Dobrush factory did not serve his term and brought prison rules to the Vitebsk region, writes "Vitebsk, I'm Walking!".
In 2023, GUBOP loudly detained Aliaksandr Vinakurau, the director of the Dobrush Porcelain Factory, and his own brother.
The investigation stated that the brother was an intermediary in the transfer of a bribe. The court charged Vinakurau with over 63 thousand rubles of illegal remuneration and sentenced him to nine years in a reinforced regime colony, a fine of 28 thousand rubles, and a five-year ban on holding managerial positions.
But Vinakurau did not serve the full nine years. A person with the same details was found in the director's chair of OJSC "Mikalayeuski" in Miory district — his name is listed on the district executive committee's website.
He was also found in a photograph from a June meeting at the district executive committee: this is the same former director of the porcelain factory, convicted of corruption.
The authors of the channel "Vitebsk, I'm Walking!" became interested in Vinakurau after complaints from the farm.
Workers reported pressure, humiliation, and virtually "prison rules." Studying the biography of the new director put many things into perspective: he was somehow released from the colony, but he seemingly brought the management style learned there with him to the Vitebsk region.
