A new snow-melting station is being built at the intersection of the Minsk Ring Road (MKAD) and Timiryazeva Street, towards Zaslavl, BelTA writes .

The first snow-melting station is located on Mashynabudavannikow Street, and the second one is in the area of Sophia Kovalevskaya Lane. The principle of operation for all facilities is similar: thermal resources from urban sewage wastewater are used to melt snow.
Currently, builders are forming a pit for the snow-melting chamber. The underground structure will have dimensions of 42×18 m and a depth of 6 m.
The future snow-melting station will be able to process up to 5 thousand cubic meters of snow mass per day.
