Two Residents of Hlybokaye District Robbed Village Houses for a Year and a Half, Got Snared by a Moped
From September 2024 to January 2026, the men nightly robbed sparsely populated villages in Hlybokaye, Dokshytsy, Pastavy, and Sharkawshchyna districts, the Investigative Committee reports .

The thieves arrived by car and entered the houses by breaking door latches or removing window frames. They mostly took items that could be sold for scrap metal. Afterwards, they put the doors and windows back to prevent the owners from immediately noticing the theft.
The thieves were apprehended on January 3, 2026. During another foray, they saw a moped near someone else's house, loaded it into their car, and drove off. Soon after, a traffic police officer stopped them. The inspector noticed the moped, whose theft had already been reported to law enforcement, and detained the men.
54 people were recognized as victims in the case, and the total amount of damage caused exceeded 9000 rubles. Part of the damage — 4900 rubles — has already been compensated by the accused.
As it turned out, one of the men is 36 years old; he was employed and had previously been convicted of theft. His 31-year-old accomplice was unemployed and had a criminal record for car theft.
The men were charged with repeated theft, committed by a group of persons with illegal entry into a dwelling.
In the Mironets family, the mother and three sisters have already been convicted for political reasons. Now the husband of one of the sisters has been arrested
