In Europe, fourth military factory in a month targeted for explosion
Slovak police prevented arson at a drone production factory.
According to law enforcement, two suspects in planning the sabotage were arrested in Slovakia, and another one in Germany. There were no casualties or damage, writes Moscow Times.
About 70 employees worked at the facility, and the value of property in the workshop amounted to tens of millions of euros. Police confiscated flammable mixture, tools, mobile phones, a video camera, and a plan. The confiscated flammable mixture was napalm. The criminal investigation is ongoing.
The target was a drone factory of the Ukrainian company Skyeton in the city of Prešov. Its office in Kyiv was already destroyed as a result of a Russian attack in May 2026.
The company Skyeton established the production of Raybird drones in Slovakia through its subsidiary Tropozond. The Raybird UAV transmits target coordinates in real-time and integrates with HIMARS, Caesar, and Krab artillery systems.
The company prepared for attacks in advance and distributed production capacities across various regions of Ukraine and abroad. In 2025, Skyeton and the British defense company Prevail Partners announced the creation of a joint venture, Skyeton Prevail Solutions. The joint production in the UK planned to employ 160 people. The company also collaborates with Danish Quadsat.
Several incidents have occurred in Europe at enterprises related to arms supplies to Ukraine.
On August 15, an arson occurred in Tallinn at a building used by the Estonian company Milrem Robotics. It manufactures military robotics and supplies systems to Ukraine. Later, three Latvian citizens were arrested in Latvia on suspicion of organizing the arson. Estonian authorities are investigating possible Russian involvement.
On August 13, a powerful explosion occurred at the KNDS Ammo Italy factory in Colleferro, near Rome. The enterprise is part of the KNDS defense holding, which supplies weapons to Ukraine. The factory near Rome produces ammunition for ground and naval forces. A subsidiary company, KNDS Ukraine, operates in Kyiv, collaborating with the Ukrainian defense industry.
The fourth episode occurred on August 10. A fire broke out on the territory of the EMCO enterprise near the village of Belitsa in Bulgaria. About 300 employees of the enterprise were evacuated. EMCO belongs to the Bulgarian arms magnate Emilian Gebrev. His companies have been supplying weapons to Ukraine since 2014. The causes of the fire at the ammunition depot are being investigated.
