In Uzda district, 150 kilograms of fried potatoes were cooked at once on a giant frying pan PHOTOS
In the agro-town of Dzieshchanka, Uzda district, during the regional festival-fair "Potato Fest", an unusual art object was unveiled - a giant frying pan with a diameter of 1.8 meters. A large amount of food can be cooked on it at once, writes "Minskaya Prauda".

The first dish on the new frying pan appeared immediately after its opening. For the guests of the festival, the cooks of Dzieshchanka Secondary School prepared fried potatoes with meat. 150 kilograms of potatoes and 20 kilograms of meat were used for the dish. The potatoes turned out rosy and fragrant, and festival visitors quickly took them for tasting.

During the festival, another culinary event took place. Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Aliaksei Kushnarenka, prepared draniki (potato pancakes) on a so-called "taiga candle" - a special wooden block used for cooking. This time, unusual draniki with cervelat (sausage) were made, which were named "governor's".

The village of Dzieshchanka is known for having a potato museum and a monument to this exceptionally popular agricultural crop in Belarus.
