In Ivatsevichy district, the causes of mass fish mortality in Vygonoshchanskoye Lake are being investigated. Specialists from environmental protection services, veterinary services, representatives of local authorities, and the laboratory of the Republican Center for Analytical Control went to the scene, reports the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Specialists conducted a survey of the reservoir, but no sources of water pollution were found.
According to preliminary data, the fish could have died due to hydrological factors — a decrease in water level and an increase in its turbidity. During the inspection, the water transparency was less than 30 centimeters.
To more accurately determine the causes, water samples were taken and sent for laboratory analysis. Final conclusions will be made after receiving the research results.
