Belarus prepares for the introduction of visa-free regime with the Maldives

On September 10, Aliaksandr Lukashenka approved the draft intergovernmental agreement with the Maldivian islands on mutual visa exemption by his decree.

According to the draft agreement, citizens of Belarus and the Maldives will be able to enter, exit, and transit through the territory of both countries without a visa.

Visa-free stay will be allowed for up to 30 days per trip. However, the total visa-free stay must not exceed 90 days within a calendar year.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus has been authorized to hold negotiations with the Maldivian side and sign the agreement.
