Blogger Andrei Nikitin defends Lukashenka, criticizes the opposition and the West, and the state press holds him up as an example. However, the Loev District Court has added his account to the list of "extremist materials."
The Loev District Court made the decision on August 31 to declare the information products of the TikTok account "That Same Belarusian" as "extremist." This was highlighted by the resource "Vitebsk, I'm Walking!".
The page belongs to Andrei Nikitin from the Mozyr district. At the time it was declared extremist, it had 37.3 thousand subscribers.
In his videos, Nikitin supports Lukashenka, attacks the opposition and Western countries, and also reiterates the official version of the 2020 events.
In February 2024, the state newspaper "SB" dedicated a large laudatory article to Nikitin. The blogger was called a "fighter of the information front," "unbreakable and uncompromising," and they described how he helps shape the information agenda.
Perhaps the court and the prosecutor's office were misled by the ironic titles of his videos: "How Lukashenka's regime mocks Belarusians," "Lukashenka has ruined Belarus," "How Belarusians live under such a dictatorship." The videos themselves, however, praise the Belarusian authorities.
