Residents of Mozyr published a video address in which they stated that 47 families lost their apartments in a new building "due to negligence." According to them, two weeks before the house's completion, the housing status was unexpectedly changed.
While previously apartments were intended for those in need of improved housing conditions and on the relevant waiting list, the new housing has now been made rental, writes "Flagshstok."
The appeal begins with people shouting in unison: "Dear Alexander Grigoryevich, help us!" And then — also in unison: "An emergency has occurred in the city of Mozyr!"
The authors of the appeal stated that in the "Year of the Belarusian Woman," large families were left without housing: "due to the negligence of the authorities, the district executive committee, their apartments were taken away."
On September 15, the director of the Capital Construction Department informed people that the apartments planned for beneficiaries were being reclassified as rental: "Beneficiary categories of citizens were thrown overboard."
The topic is also being discussed on social networks. Users confirmed that the house was originally built as shared-equity housing, and then it was declared rental:
"I encountered a simply outrageous case! We waited a year for the house to be completed, already knew the apartment number, and were supposed to finalize the documents. But at the meeting, we were told that the house, built under a state order, would now be transferred for rental use."
In the comments, it was added:
"Families were simply left out. Someone sold their car, their apartment, someone was already supposed to move out of rented housing in two weeks. To all questions about what people should do, the director of the Capital Construction Department replied: 'I don't know'."
The comments also clarified that this refers to the house at Naftabudaŭnikoŭ Street, 40, in a actively developing microdistrict.
