Ukraine Linked Russian Attacks on Its Western Regions with Repeaters on Belarusian Territory
Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated that Belarus is again activating repeaters on its territory which, according to him, help Russian drones attack Ukraine.

Andriy Demchenko stated that Belarus is actively assisting Russia in shelling Ukrainian territory. Repeaters are being activated on Belarusian territory that amplify the signal for Russian drones of the Shahed and "Gerber" types.
According to him, drones entering from Russian territory stay close to the Belarusian border to receive this signal and, thanks to it, are able to fly further into Ukraine.
As stated by the representative of the Ukrainian border service, Russian forces are thus attacking the western regions of Ukraine — Rivne, Lviv, and Volyn. According to him, with the help of Belarusian repeaters, Russian drones managed to attack the Yahodyn checkpoint in the Volyn region on the border with Poland.
On September 13, a Russian drone attacked railway infrastructure near the Yahodyn-Dorohusk checkpoint. The drone hit the locomotive of a passenger train traveling from Kyiv to Warsaw.
Demchenko also stated that there is currently no Russian strike group on Belarusian territory near the Ukrainian border that would be prepared for a possible invasion of Ukraine.
The issue of Belarusian repeaters had already been raised by Ukrainian authorities earlier. On June 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that his public demand to Minsk to dismantle the equipment that Russian military personnel use for attacks on Ukraine was the final stage. Before that, according to him, Kyiv had repeatedly, through intelligence channels, conveyed information to Alexander Lukashenka about the necessity of stopping technical support for this system.
On June 24, Zelenskyy reported that the repeaters in Belarus, which were used to adjust Russian army strikes on Ukraine, were no longer operating.
However, on June 30, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that these repeaters on Belarusian territory had not been dismantled.
