On November 2, an exhibition of Christmas tree decorations from different countries of the world will open at the National Historical Museum of Belarus in Minsk, reports the "Minsk-Novosti" agency.

It is reported that the exhibition will feature, in particular, ornaments from Congo, Peru, Indonesia, New Zealand, and North Korea, as well as Soviet-era Christmas tree decorations and antique glass balls.
The exhibition will tell the story of New Year's decorations and their production from the mid-19th century to the present day. Visitors will be able to learn how the materials, manufacturing technologies, and decoration methods of toys have changed over time, and also get acquainted with the holiday traditions of various peoples.
A separate part of the exhibition will be dedicated to Belarusian traditional winter holidays. Soviet-era Christmas tree decorations will remind older visitors of the New Year holidays of their childhood, while younger visitors will be able to see what previous generations used to decorate their Christmas trees.
In addition to the exhibition, the museum will organize master classes on painting Christmas tree decorations. Participants will be able to paint an ornament themselves and create their own New Year's decoration.
