Father Zavalnyuk was met on the street. He told what the meaning of life is
Famous blogger Maksat, who films citizens walking by and asks them questions about life, met Father Uladzislau Zavalnyuk, the former rector of the Red Church, in the center of Minsk. He showed him his pilot's license and talked about his favorite music and happiness.
Zavalnyuk said that in his childhood he wanted to be a pilot and even has a pilot's license. He wanted to enter flight school already after 8th grade, but his mother told him to finish 11, and then — wherever he wanted.
"And then, when I grew up, then came the spiritual path."
Zavalnyuk says he is very happy.
"Because I am needed by my calling. (...) In the tenth grade, I went once, then a second time, already more consciously, to church service. Then parents, instruction, then you hear the priest. Then the Word of God, the Bible. And then it turns out, not just interesting, but something serious."
When asked about the meaning of life, the priest answered thus:
"To control oneself, like any driver controls a car. The meaning of life is to pass, to drive happily, where you are going, and with whom you are going, and to whom you are going, to understand such a meaning. And God then gives you perseverance for every day. And another thing — it's the joy that you are still needed, you have a direction."
Zavalnyuk calls harmony among people the most beautiful thing he has seen. And among his favorite music, he listed Handel, Vivaldi, Beethoven.
He advised the world to keep peace.
