Former investigator Yushkevich: Sapega is great. She behaved more достойно than the one who showed himself to be such a macho
Yauhen Yushkevich — a former investigator and former political prisoner — said that he personally read the interrogation protocols of Sofia Sapega and was impressed by how she held up during the investigation. After the release of Sapega's interview , Yushkevich wrote about it on Threads: "I read her interrogations with my own eyes and even wrote down formulations for myself, so that one day I could tell that she is great."
Today, after the release of Sofia Sapega's interview, I was woken up by calls asking for a comment. Okay.
1. Everything she says (and what I also know at the same time) is the purest truth. Simply verbatim.
2. She forgot to mention that on the plane she DELETED her Telegram from her devices. It was later restored. This directly followed from the questions asked to her during the investigation. I read her interrogations (many of them) with my own eyes and even wrote down formulations for myself, so that one day I could tell that she is great. She is great.
I know a little about conducting interrogations, and so I read her interrogations and saw how at first she refused to give testimony, how she herself did not give anything or report anything, how she "froze out" the investigator, how later she only said what was already on TV. I looked at the dates, at the factual information she (didn't) provide, and was pleasantly surprised. I remember that I specifically wrote down her phrases (quite cool for an inexperienced girl) like "I don't remember well enough to answer." And just "WOW."
And when she also DID NOT lie to the KGB about me, I decided to tell everyone about her in prisons, especially to political prisoners who were interested, especially those on the ChKB case (they received long sentences and often got angry at her).
My notes, unfortunately, were taken (stolen), and I won't be able to quote them, five years have passed, but I made these notes purposefully:
I wanted to one day tell that Sofia behaved much more достойно than those who showed themselves to be such a macho and wallowed in their own arrogance. That's it — this gestalt is closed.
