Belarusian authorities detained Australian journalist Amos Roberts at Minsk National Airport on September 21, when the man was going to depart from the country.
The Belarusian Association of Journalists (BAJ) identified the journalist as Amas Roberts of Australian television channel SBS, who had official accreditation with the Belarusian foreign ministry and had stayed in Belarus for a week.
According to the BAJ, Belarusian customs officers seized a laptop computer, a video camera and data storage devices from the journalist.
