Komarovka has suddenly become deserted. What can you buy there in the last days of autumn? Where are cherries for 300 rubles?
We're just a little bit away from the calendar winter. It's still possible to buy seasonal fruits and vegetables at the market. However, there are some issues with the assortment.
Journalists from Tochka.by visited Komarovka market on Friday. Let's see what the prices are like and what has changed.
Let's note right away that the seasonal market has become poorer. Several rows, where Belarusian cucumbers, tomatoes and mushrooms were briskly sold not so long ago, are now empty. It's even a little sad.
But it's good that traders of Christmas toys have already appeared.
"Very beautiful bullfinches," a woman loudly praised the products.
We agree, some of the toys were very nice. Prices range from Br0.5 to Br50.
Overall, there were still buyers. Many know where to buy vegetables at good prices. There was even a crowd at these counters.
"You'll have a full jingle bells," one of the sellers sarcastically remarked. Perhaps she was envious that her trading place was not as bright compared to others.
Potatoes, as usual, come in different varieties - they will advise you on both draniki (potato pancakes) and mashed potatoes. The cheapest option costs Br0.99, more expensive - Br2.5.
Prices for other popular vegetables: white cabbage - Br0.99-2.99, onions - Br1.5-3.5, carrots - Br0.8-4, beets - Br0.99-4. Everything is stable.
But there are practically no tomatoes and cucumbers from farmers.
Prices for tomatoes in the market range from Br3.5-29 per 1 kg. It's even more difficult with cucumbers - you have to go and look for them. Still, we found cheap options for only Br5, the most expensive ones - Br14.9.
The choice of peppers is slightly larger. You will be asked from Br2.5 per kilogram. Eggplants are also available. The price for this vegetable is Br5.9-9.9.
The cost of pickles has also practically not changed. Some sellers have cucumbers a little cheaper - Br6 per 1 kg, but there are also expensive ones - for Br15. Sauerkraut costs Br5.99-12.
Regular greens will cost Br14-25 per kilogram. There are almost no mushrooms left. Champignons are sold for Br8-12.
As for garlic, it is sold for Br13.9-25 per 1 kg. There are still many different pumpkins, they cost Br2-6.
There are no very cheap pineapples, as in previous trips to Komarovka. Now you will have to pay Br9.9-35 per 1 kg.
Grapes have risen in price slightly. They are sold for Br4.9-35.9. There are no options for Br2 anymore.
But citrus fruits are still at good prices. Oranges cost Br4.9-17.9, lemons - Br4.9-40, tangerines - Br3.9-25.
There are also very cheap bananas for Br3.9-6.9 and persimmons for Br2.5-20.
Some prices have remained stable. Apples cost Br3.5-10 per 1 kg, pears - Br8-12, feijoa - Br4.9-35.
Some sellers have cheap kiwis for only Br4.9. Here and there you can find the last cranberries for Br11.9 per 1 kg.
