The release is being carried out as part of the Polish-American negotiation track with the regime in Minsk. According to our information, those released will be escorted from Belarus to Poland.
As sources told, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Eastern Europe Chris Smith has been in Minsk since the beginning of the week. He was then joined by U.S. President's Special Envoy for Belarus, John Koole. On Thursday, Koole met with Alexander Lukashenka.
