Former banker and presidential candidate in the 2020 elections, Viktar Babaryka, at his first press conference after his release, which took place in Ukraine, answered the question of whether he will return to politics.
«If I am needed in Belarus, I will try to do something in Belarus. If I am only needed by my family, well, I will have a decent pension next year (it is probably implied that he will reach retirement age. â NN)».
«During these 24 hours, I learned that nothing has stopped,» Babaryka noted. — «And since it lives, we too will live.»
He added that one must not forget about those who are still behind bars and should contribute to their release.
