A seasonal increase in acute respiratory infections and flu cases is observed in the country, reports the Ministry of Health.

However, the incidence level remains within the average multi-year indicators.
Currently, influenza A viruses are circulating â primarily influenza A(H3N2) (this strain is also known as the Hong Kong flu) and A(H1N1 â the so-called pandemic strain of 2009). Non-influenza respiratory viruses are also circulating (adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, RS viruses, bocaparvoviruses, metapneumoviruses, seasonal coronaviruses, SARS-CoV-2 virus).
The main contingent of flu patients is unvaccinated.
The majority of patients are outpatients. There is no increase in the number of hospitalizations due to flu.
The Ministry of Health notes that influenza viruses remain sensitive to antiviral drugs available in healthcare organizations and the pharmacy network, and are also recognized by all existing laboratory diagnostic test systems.
Flu vaccines used in the country contain the current strain composition and a sufficient amount of antigens to reduce the risk of flu infection, prevent the development of severe illness, and adverse outcomes.
