Minsk resident found a 100-dollar bill on the street. It turned out to be fake
A resident of Minsk tried to exchange a fake 100-dollar bill he found on the street. As reported by the State Forensic Examination Committee, the man came to a branch of one of the capital's banks to exchange the banknote. The cashier doubted its authenticity and reported it to the police.

Fake banknote
The Minsk resident explained to law enforcement that he found the money on the street and kept it in his wallet "for a rainy day," not suspecting that the bill might be a fake.
The banknote was sent for examination to the State Forensic Examination Committee, where it was determined not to be genuine. The expert noted the absence of regulated security elements, a different printing method, a different color scheme, the absence of serial numbers, the alphanumeric bank index, and text on the front side. This indicates that the banknote was not produced by an official printing enterprise.

Genuine banknote
Following the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the Zavodski District Department of the Investigative Committee of Minsk.
