James Ransone, an actor who played Ziggy Sobotka in the HBO series "The Wire" and starred in many other TV shows and films, has died at the age of 46, writes AP.

According to online records from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office, Ransone died on Friday by suicide.
His film credits include "It Chapter Two", "The Black Phone" and "The Black Phone 2", "Sinister", "Oldboy". He also appeared in TV series, including the crime drama "Bosch" and the show "Poker Face".
Messages requesting comment were left on Sunday for representatives of Ransone, as well as for a spokesperson for the medical examiner's office.
