Bidding for an empty camp near Minsk lasted 8 hours. Who bought it and for how much?
Yesterday, the "Kirovets" camp near Minsk was put up for auction again. In October, the abandoned site was almost acquired for a million dollars by a furniture manufacturing company, but later the buyer changed their mind. This time, bidding for the children's "sanatorium" on the Minsk Sea lasted 8 hours, and 12 participants competed for the camp, writes Realt.
The former "Kirovets" camp is located in a forest area near the village of Zialionaye, Zdanovichy rural council. The distance from the Minsk Ring Road is about 10 kilometers. To the beaches of the Minsk Sea - about 2 kilometers.
This children's camp was built back in the 1960s. Previously, the institution belonged to the Minsk Kirov Machine Tool Plant, and many generations of Minsk residents had vacationed here. The camp with pioneers at the entrance functioned until the early 2000s, and then gradually fell into disrepair.
Currently, the 6.5-hectare territory houses more than a dozen diverse buildings. These are mainly residential buildings (wooden houses), as well as various utility buildings (medical center, bathhouse, library) in varying degrees of preservation. Over recent years, the object has changed hands multiple times but has never seen reconstruction.
As a result, it was decided to send the empty camp to auction. The object, with a total area of about 1200 square meters, was put up for electronic bidding for 44 thousand rubles (about 15 thousand dollars). The next auction took place yesterday (December 24) and lasted a full 8 hours. During this time, the initial price of the children's camp increased almost 60 times.
12 buyers participated in the electronic bidding, raising the price of the object to 2.6 million rubles (about 900 thousand dollars).
The winner of the auction and the new owner of the abandoned camp was a legal entity engaged in retail trade of food products.
The new owner is obliged to ensure the safety and restricted access to the facility, maintain the proper sanitary and technical condition of the territory, carry out reconstruction or demolish old buildings, put the new facility into operation and use it for the purpose determined by the Minsk District Executive Committee. Along with the buildings, the new owner also received a plot of 7 hectares.
