US President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is already the second contact between the politicians in the last 24 hours, dedicated to discussing the situation in Ukraine and the results of the Mar-a-Lago talks. This was reported by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt on December 29 on the X platform.

The American president's administration called the conversation "positive." Details of the conversation are not yet being released, but this call took place according to Trump's previously announced schedule.
During a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on December 29 in Florida, Donald Trump stated that he plans to contact Moscow again after listening to the Ukrainian side's position and discussing the details of the "20-point plan."
