A Belarusian tried to import an inflatable boat into Poland, but at the border it turned out that such goods are prohibited from import into the European Union. This was reported by the Lublin Customs and Tax Service in Biała Podlaska.

The man was crossing the border via the Terespol checkpoint. During the inspection, Polish border guards found the boat in his car. Since it belongs to sanctioned goods, its import into the EU is prohibited.
A smuggling case will be initiated against the citizen of Belarus. Information about the sanction violation was also forwarded to the prosecutor's office.
The inflatable boat was confiscated as material evidence. Its value is estimated at approximately 12.5 thousand zlotys, which is about 3.5 thousand US dollars.
