The United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus awarded medals to nine prominent individuals.
The United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus (UCPB) made a decision on new awards with the medals "For Productive Work for the Benefit of Belarus", "The Unbroken" (Larisa Hienijus), and the Cross of Good Neighborliness.
The laureates were nominated by public organizations and activists and approved by the Awards Commission under the UCPB. The corresponding resolution was signed on January 7 by the head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
The Cabinet resolved:
To award the medal "For Productive Work for the Benefit of Belarus" to:
Yaroslav Chornohora — Ukrainian researcher and analyst, one of the organizers of the K. Ostrohsky Belarusian-Ukrainian forum in 2022-25.
Rustis Kamuntavičius — Lithuanian historian, co-founder of the International Congress of Belarusian Researchers.
Ingo Petz — German journalist and writer specializing in Belarusian culture, head of the Belarus editorial team at the online portal dekoder.org.
Mikita Mielkaziorau — Belarusian journalist, blogger, interviewer.
With the medal "The Unbroken" (Larisa Hienijus) for personal courage, steadfastness, and sacrifice in promoting the ideals of democracy and human rights in Belarus:
Natallia Dulina — Belarusian linguist, translator from Italian.
Uladzimir Labkovich — Belarusian human rights defender, lawyer at the Human Rights Center "Viasna", coordinator of the campaign "Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections".
Ihar Losik — Belarusian blogger.
With the Cross of Good Neighborliness for the development of public diplomacy and the expansion of dialogue between the Belarusian and other peoples to the following citizens:
Lech Wałęsa — Polish statesman and trade union activist.
Vytautas Landsbergis — Lithuanian politician, statesman, and public figure.
Additionally, two individuals will be awarded non-publicly.
