According to the lawsuit of the Russian Prosecutor General's Office, companies providing key information services in air transportation, including "Sirena-Travel", "TKP" and other group structures, were acquired through corrupt means, are under criminal influence, and foreign control. Among the defendants in the case is the current State Duma deputy from LDPR, Rifat Shaykhutdinov.
As claimed by the Prosecutor General's Office, the basis for this was the deliberate bankruptcy of the state enterprise "Main Agency for Air Communications of Civil Aviation" in 2003. This agency was involved in selling airline tickets through a network of ticket offices and managed the "Sirena" air transport processing system.
On February 4, the Russian Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit against several dozen individuals and legal entities, demanding the transfer of movable and immovable property of the owners and structures of "Sirena-Travel", which operates the Leonardo system, to state revenue. The first court hearing is scheduled for February 18.
According to sources, the prosecution believes that to seize the enterprise, the suspects conspired with the head of the Federal Service for Insolvency and Financial Recovery, Georgy Tal. With his corrupt assistance, Rifat Shaykhutdinov was appointed head of the state aviation agency in violation of legislation.
"Belavia" switched to the services of the Leonardo airline ticket booking system in 2023, replacing the American Sabre.
