There are books whose appearance is no accident. The publication of Uladzimir Karatkievič's novel "Kolasy pad syarpom tvaim" by the Kamunikat.org Foundation was a long-awaited event—both for readers and for those who perceive Belarusian literature as a living part of the present.
The novel, familiar to many generations of schoolchildren, was removed from the curriculum in 2023. But until recently, this book could be read in "Valadarka" and other prisons where political prisoners are held.
Some critics believe that "Kolasy pad syarpom tvaim" is "the nation's main book"!
