"The Belarusian side promptly informed the event organizers that, by decision of the head of state, our country would be represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov. All necessary notifications were sent to the American protocol services in the prescribed manner, and documents for visa processing were submitted in advance. However, despite the fulfillment of all required procedures on our part, visas for our delegation were not issued. In this situation, a legitimate question arises: what peace and what consistency can be discussed if even the basic formalities for our participation were not fulfilled by the organizers?" the MFA stated.
The department also reminded that initially, an invitation from Trump to participate in the Peace Council was sent to the head of Belarus.
