A Terrorist Attack Occurred in Lviv at Night. A Female Police Officer Died.
On the night of February 22, a series of explosions occurred in the center of Lviv near the Magnus shopping center, officially classified as a terrorist attack.

The first report of the incident came after 00:30, when powerful explosions occurred in the area of Shpytalna Street, as police arrived on a false call about illegal entry into a store.
The first explosion occurred after the arrival of the first crew. When the second patrol police crew arrived at the scene of the terrorist attack, another explosion occurred.
City Mayor Andriy Sadovyi officially confirmed a fatality: «According to preliminary information, a female police officer died as a result of the terrorist attack.» Media report that she was 23 years old.
The number of injured was being clarified throughout the night. The latest data is 15 wounded.
Sadovyi emphasized that city services are working in emergency mode, and doctors are providing all necessary assistance.
According to him, the nature of the incident leaves no doubt: «This was a terrorist attack. Law enforcement and all relevant services are working.»
The blast wave caused significant damage to the surrounding buildings. The epicenter itself was in a non-residential building where shops are located, which helped to avoid a larger number of casualties among residents. Nevertheless, windows in neighboring houses were blown out.
Police are determining the type of explosive devices and are searching for individuals involved in organizing the explosions.
