A three-meter pancake was baked in Baranovichi for Maslenitsa PHOTOS
On February 21, at the "Dipriz" animal park near Baranovichi, a culinary record for Belarus was set — the largest pancake in the country was prepared there. The diameter of the giant pancake was three meters, writes the Russian publication Sputnik.

To achieve such a result, the cooks trained for about ten days. Large volumes of ingredients were used for the dough: 9 liters of milk, 30 eggs, 5.5 kilograms of flour, 2 liters of vegetable oil, 300 grams of salt, and 800 grams of sugar.

The cooking process was not easy. First, the huge pan was heated on coals for 20 minutes, sprinkled with salt. After that, the salt was removed, the surface was greased with oil, and only then was the dough poured and evenly distributed across the entire pan.

Many spectators watched the cooking of the dish, but the cooks themselves were the most nervous — they didn't leave the pancake's side for about an hour.

When one side was browned, those present decided by vote whether to flip the pancake. The majority answered positively, and then the team carefully flipped it with the help of a large rolling pin so that it would cook on the other side.

After the cooking was completed, a representative of the "Book of Records of Belarus" project presented a certificate confirming the national record. He noted that this is officially the largest pancake in the country.

All guests could taste the festive dish. In addition, master classes, tastings, and competitions for children and adults were held in the park. The celebration concluded with the traditional burning of the Maslenitsa effigy.
