Israel launches airstrikes on Hezbollah command centers in Lebanon
Eight members of the Hezbollah group, including local commanders, were killed as a result of Israeli airstrikes on eastern Lebanon. This was reported by news agencies, citing a representative of the organization, writes Euronews.

The strikes targeted an area near settlements in the Baalbek valley, where a three-story building was partially destroyed.
The Israeli army confirmed that it had attacked several Hezbollah command centers, stating that the individuals eliminated were preparing attacks against Israel and were engaged in restoring the group's combat capabilities. According to the Israeli side, such actions violate the agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
Among the dead is Hussein Yaghi, the son of one of Hezbollah's founders and an associate of its former leader Hassan Nasrallah, who died in 2024 as a result of an Israeli strike.
At the same time, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 10 people, including three children, were killed in the latest strikes in the region, and about twenty more were injured.
Despite a ceasefire in effect since November 2024, achieved through US mediation, Israeli strikes on Lebanon continue almost daily. The agreement was supposed to halt hostilities, which intensified after Hezbollah's retaliatory attacks in response to the Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip, launched after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.
Israel states that it strikes exclusively military infrastructure and group members to prevent its rearmament. Lebanese authorities claim that Israeli attacks have also killed civilians since the ceasefire was implemented.
