How mobile operators changed unlimited tariffs after internet speed limitations
Since February 23, internet speed limitations have been in effect in Belarus for tariffs with unlimited traffic. If the 30 GB monthly threshold is exceeded, the speed will be reduced to 1 Mbit/s. Office Life found out from mobile operators what options they offer users if they exceed the traffic limit.

The Ministry of Communications believes that the limitation will balance the load on cellular networks and also allow operators to provide additional traffic volumes or extended periods of "unlimited" speed.
At the same time, the ministry is confident that most users will hardly notice the changes. Today in Belarus, the average volume of mobile traffic per subscriber is 16 GB per month. Only 15% of subscribers exceed the 30 GB threshold on such tariffs.
At the same time, after the introduction of internet speed limitations, mobile operators updated their line of unlimited tariffs — both current and archived. MTS and A1 users felt this the most: the companies added new services to existing tariff plans, which will allow subscribers to use the internet at high speed.
A1 launched "Farsazh"
As an additional solution, A1 offered subscribers a new service "Farsazh". It is included in 14 tariffs with unlimited internet and provides the ability to use it without speed limitations. These include popular tariffs such as "Drive Unlimited", "Smart Endless", "MEGA Prime", "Simple Solution. All Inclusive". As part of a promotional offer, the service is provided free of charge until the end of the year. The easiest way is through the "My A1" app. The service can also be activated in the personal account and via USSD request.
The company emphasized that subscribers with special conditions for mobile communication within home internet tariff plans will be able to use unlimited data without speed limitations.
MTS introduced a turbo button
For MTS subscribers, the main solution was the new service "Super Unlimited". The company claims that it allows maintaining internet traffic without speed limitation even after exceeding the 30 GB threshold. Moreover, the service is also connected free of charge for the current lineup and in packages.
If a user urgently needs to add high-speed traffic, the "Turbo Button 10 GB" service is available. It can be activated for 5 rubles on all tariffs with limitations, both in the app and via USSD request. The gigabytes from "turbo buttons" accumulate and are valid for a month from the date of the last addition.
For those who prefer tariffs with included traffic packages without the need to connect additional options, MTS has retained a full portfolio of tariff plans: for smartphones — "Super Safe", for tablets — "Internet mini/midi/maxi", for country houses — "Domovoy 4G/4G+".
Additional Gigabytes from Life
For mobile operator Life, limitations apply only to one tariff — "Infinite Pro Max". On average, subscribers use 25 GB of mobile internet per month.
Unlike A1 and MTS, this company decided to provide users not with new services, but with additional traffic. Every month for a year, in addition to 30 GB, 60 GB at a speed of up to 5 Mbit/s are automatically credited. And for those who purchased a gadget from Life along with this tariff before February 22, 60 GB will be credited monthly until the end of the device contract.
Subscribers of "Infinite Pro Max" are also offered to switch to the new tariff "All Easy Max". The price is the same, and the subscription fee is fixed for a year. The offer includes 100 GB of traffic without speed limitation and unlimited internet for social networks and messengers.
In addition, from February 23 to March 8, Life launched a giveaway in its Life app: every subscriber of any tariff plan can win 10 GB of traffic. But this is another story, unrelated to mobile internet speed limitations.
