How the world reacted to the US and Israel operation against Iran

The government of the **United Kingdom** stated that the country did not participate in the operation by Israel and the United States and would not wish for further escalation and expansion of this regional conflict. British authorities also emphasized that they had recently strengthened their defense capabilities in the Middle East — solely for the purpose of protecting their citizens in the region.
«Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, and that is why we consistently support efforts to reach a negotiated solution,» the government statement said.
The government of **Germany** stated that Berlin had been informed in advance by Israel about the preparations for strikes on Iran. According to a government spokesperson, Chancellor Friedrich Merz is closely monitoring developments and maintains contact with European partners. A meeting between Merz and Donald Trump is scheduled to take place in Washington next week.
