The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, announced that the procedure for transferring power after the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei begins today.

A special provisional council will be created to govern the state during the transitional period, taking responsibility for the country until a new lifelong leader is elected.

According to Larijani's official statement, this provisional governing body will include the country's president, the head of the judiciary, and one of the jurists from the Guardian Council — a special body that monitors the compliance of laws with Islamic norms.

Ali Larijani emphasized that the formation of the council will take place as soon as possible, possibly even within the current day.

The provisional council will perform the functions of the supreme authority until a candidate for the new Rahbar (Leader) is determined, who traditionally concentrates control over all military and religious institutions of the country in their hands.

    "Следующий!", кричит заведующий.
Там стянули столько бомбардировщиков и самолетов-заправщиков, что они могут просто в воздухе ждать новых назначений, пока рахбары не кончатся.
