The statement notes that during the interception, missile fragments fell on a residential area of Abu Dhabi, resulting in one fatality.
“The UAE reserves the full right to respond to this escalation and take all necessary measures to protect its territory, its citizens, and residents,” the ministry announced.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia condemned "Iran's outrageous aggression" and expressed full solidarity with the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. A warning was also issued about serious consequences in case of continued similar "violations of international law".
Qatar's Ministry of Defense stated that its armed forces successfully repelled a second wave of attacks, calling the strikes an "outrageous violation" of its sovereignty.
The ministry noted that Qatar has always called for dialogue with Iran and that attacks on the country "cannot be accepted under any justification or reason," as it has always kept out of regional conflicts.
Previously, Iran launched attacks on American military facilities in several countries in the region.
