Major charging station network launched AI tariffs for electric vehicles

The BatteryFly charging station network has launched so-called AI tariffs for electric vehicles in Belarus. Their essence lies in dynamically forming the charging cost depending on the load on the stations, writes Office Life.

The cost of 1 kWh of energy can now range from 45 to 65 kopecks. During periods of low demand, charging will be cheaper, while during peak hours, the standard tariff will apply throughout the country.

The goal of the innovation is to distribute the flow of cars evenly throughout the day, reduce the formation of queues, and make the use of infrastructure more convenient for electric vehicle owners. This approach is based on the analysis of previous data on station load.

Currently, the system is operating in test mode in four cities. The pilot project has been launched in Grodno, Mogilev, Smolevichi, and Orsha. In the future, the company plans to extend it to the entire country.

Users can check current tariffs in the mobile application. The cost may vary depending on the day of the week and time of day, with "cheap" periods being regularly updated.

Previously, this network also implemented technology for identifying free parking spaces near stations using computer vision.
