Sabalenka Played Her 100th Match as World No. 1

The Belarusian had a successful start at the tournament in Indian Wells, California.

In the second round match, she defeated Japanese player Himeno Sakatsume with a score of 6:4, 6:2. 

This match marked her 100th as the world ranking leader — 82 wins and 18 losses.

Aryna Sabalenka became world number one on October 21, 2024, and has not left the top of world tennis since.

In the next round, the Belarusian will face Romanian tennis player Jaqueline Cristian.
