The investigation established that the man committed arsons of two residential buildings and two outbuildings. He did not have any specific plan — he chose objects randomly, simply walking around the city.
His actions were captured by surveillance cameras: the recordings show the man moving towards the crime scenes. After the arsons, he did not immediately flee — he first observed what was happening, and only then moved on.
Criminal cases have been initiated for all these facts under an article that provides for liability for intentional destruction or damage to property by arson.
The detainee is currently in custody and faces serious punishment.
